I am now a p90X graduate!
I heard all of the fuss, success stories and plaudits for P90X. Bear in mind I’m from the UK, so I don’t see all of the informercials you guys in the US are constantly bombarded with. I simply gleaned all of the info from the internet and it became apparent that people were going crazy for P90X. I took a sneak peak of the programme back in November 2010 and decided I would give it a go in 2011. Over the Christmas period in 2010, I really let myself go, training and eating was at an all time state of shock! Training was bare minimum and eating was absolute trash food, every saturated fat you could think of, I ate it with extras! Just look at my shameful before photo, I’m NEVER going to see that guy again! I’m normally a fit guy who prides himself in being in shape. Some of the workouts on this site have wrestled me into great shape over the years, but I was really ready for the X to help me out this time! See the full P90X workout plan.
January 25th 2011 was my first day of P90X….and I have just finished my final workout! It feels great to be finished. I now have the p90X bug and I already have a P90X/Tony Horton’s One on One/Insanty/P90X+ hybrid lined up as my next workout routine.
Anyway, below you will see my P90X results. Please bear in mind I DID NOT FOLLOW THE NUTRITION PLAN AT ALL! To be fair, I have eaten fairly ok during the week….but at weekends anything is game! Beer, wine, takeaway food, the whole works! I like to live my life and while I am dedicated to my workouts, nutrition can only be followed part of the way…..at least by me anyway
Here are my results photos and vital stats:
I’m personally pleased with the results, but I can almost hear you say…. ‘but there’s no rippling 6 pack’. As I mention above, I did not follow the nutrition plan. I like to party at the weekends and nothing will ever stop that! In some ways, it’s interesting to see the sort of results you can achieve while just eating as you would normally. I did try to stay reasonably sensible through the week and I had a protein shake in the morning, along with adding a little protein to my water while performing my workouts. Despite being over 2 stone (nearly 30 lbs) lighter, I am actually much stronger than I was before. P90X attacks all disciplines of workouts and focuses on your body’s weak spots. Resistance, cardio and balance all add to the puzzle to create a balanced body shape. I think one more round and I’d achieve the elusive 6 pack. The hybrid system I’m going to do next will hopefully help me out with the 6 pack status. I am happy I have a flat stomach now, I’ve shed the fat and now I just need to sculpt those abdominal muscles. My fitness is at an all time high and I’m raring to take it to the next level.

Woooahh! Great results dude, without the nutrition plan too. You have good genetics if can eat and drink what you like and get these results. I’m half my way through phase 1 of P90X and it’s hard, but I hope I get results like yours.
Superb results, me and my husband are thinking about doing P90X or Insanity, we want results like yours, thanks for the motivation
