Body Beast Day 25 – Bulk Arms and Abs

Move over Tony Horton’s Just Arms workout….I have a new favourite. Bulk arms absolutely ROCKED! I’ve done every arm workout imaginable but never in my life have I had the blood flowing as much as this workout. My arms were literally screaming. My workout sheet has scribbles all over it as I tried to pre-guess the weights I’d be able to manage. I’m normally just about right but I got this one wrong in all kinds of epic proportions! I could hardly hold the pen which didn’t help either! My arms looked like legs by the time I was done. Awesome workout. On a minor note, I’m totally sticking to the plan 100% but the bulk schedule looks like this; Chest, Legs, Back, Arms/Abs, Shoulders, Rest (then repeat) for 6 weeks. Far be it from me to say that this is wrong but I do wonder if it would have been better to swap the legs and back workouts around to allow a day of recovery for your biceps after a back workout? Like I say, just a minor note and something I may toy with when I do further rounds of Body Beast. Whenever I do a first round though, I like to do it as it’s meant to be done. If my back and biceps are huge after this round I’ll forget I even mentioned it ;-)

Oh yeah, I did abs at the end. Not really much to add there. Shoulders tomorrow and then I’m through my first bulk rotation.
