Time to hit my second round of the build workouts. Damn, this was tough! I always think week 2 of any serious workout schedule is really where the business starts. I call week 1 ‘adrenaline week’, whereby you tend to fly thorough the workouts driven by a sense of excitement and going into the unknown. During week 2, you have the weights you lifted during week 1 as a target. I managed to improve in a few areas which is great….but it was really tough. The pump of blood and pre-fatigue of muscle groups was again tremendous. I was humbled by the tricep pushups. Ordinarily I can do dozens of these off the belt, but in the middle of a Beast workout I actually had to drop to my knees to finish the set off! I’m happy with my progress on the heavy lifts though, I even matched Sagi’s weights on a few of them. Mind you…I wasn’t in the middle of a production and explaining what I was doing throughout the sets!
I’m feeling strong at the moment and I know this schedule is going to take me to places I have never been results wise. My weight is up and down at the moment, I think the pure shock to the system is creating this and it will settle down in due course. My body fat % is staying low which is great. There’s time yet but I really expected it to go up more due to the extra calorie intake. I’m sticking to the plan though, I always do. I’m 100% dedicated to Bodybeast and this journey is going to be epic! It’s already my favourite home workout routine ever, I have 83 days left and then who knows? Another round!
I’ll continue to use whatever I have to do whatever it takes!
